Launching 2021–2022 OHBM/ACCS Webinar Series

September 10, 2021

The Australian Characterisation Commons at Scale (ACCS) project and The Australian Chapter of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) have partnered to present a series of webinars aiming to enhance the knowledge of and access to analysis tools for brain imaging research.

The webinars will bring together a number of expert national and international speakers who will talk about a specific theme relating brain imaging data and digital research challenges.  Each webinar will be followed by thematically matched workshop sessions, designed to teach hands-on skills to the attendees.

This webinar and workshop series is an important collaboration that brings together experts in neuroimaging data, Brain Imaging Data Standards (BIDS), data collection management and processing amongst others.

The webinar series is being led by Dr Steffen Bollmann (Member of the OHBM Australian Chapter) from The University of Queensland and Dr Chao Suo (ACCS) from Monash University.

The webinar and workshop series has been planned to take place bi-monthly over the remainder of 2021 and all of 2022, making a total of eight (8) sessions.

The inaugural webinar will focus on Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS).  The following webinar is themed around working with Data Collections.  Additional topics will be organised in concert with feedback from the OHBM community about their priorities for future learning events.

Because there will be a diversity of topics covered, participants will be asked to register for each event, based on their research interests.  Post-webinar workshops will be run within the Characterisation Virtual Laboratory (CVL), using, in two separate sessions, the MASSIVE and Wiener nodes.  Preparatory sessions will also be held prior to the workshops to assist new users set up their access to the CVL.
