A half-day Regional Conference on 2nd December, aimed at providing students, researchers and anyone interested in microscopy with a comprehensive introduction to modern optical microscopy theory, instruments and practical aspects.
Take a virtual tour of an Advanced Imaging Facility and see a range of state-of-the-art microscopy instruments in action. Hear a Panel discuss microscopy challenges of the day, faced by students, microscopy staff and biomedical/life science researchers: hear their solutions and responses to your questions.
About
This regional conference is open to all, free and will provide a concise introduction to modern optical microscopy (fluorescence, confocal and specialised modalities), as well an interactive (virtual) tour through an advanced biomedical microscopy facility plus a Panel Discussion (Q&A style) with a group of expert microscopists, life scientists and postgraduate students who will talk about microscopy issues and current approaches in biomedical and life sciences.
Light Microscopy Australia (LMA) is a special interest group of the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society. Our activities involve training, applications and optimisation of microscopy techniques and instruments in all branches of science.
The Darwin International Conference is an initiative of Somaiya Vidyavihar and Somaiya Trust, organized by Bioriidl - India’s First DIY Biolab, riidl. The conference is proud to be supported by DST, DBT-BIRAC, Government of India, and MSInS, Government of Maharashtra. With the great success of Darwin in the past with over 1500 attendees from across 29+ countries participating and 9 research papers selected for publishing in the African Journal of Biological Sciences, the organisers have come up with yet another spectacular lineup of events this year. Owing to the pandemic, the conference will be held virtually this year, centered around various Cutting Edge Biology concepts like BioArt, Medical Biology, and Cell Biology. For Registration for the main Darwin Conference Research Symposium, please see further below.
