An introductory workshop designed for staff and researchers at James Cook University to learn how to access CVL and work within the desktop environment.

Join with us to learn how to access and use the Characterisation Virtual Laboratory (CVL) (www.cvl.org.au) virtual desktop environment. This session is suitable only for users at James Cook University.
This is a hands-on workshop that will prepare you to be able to commence analysing your own data from within CVL. In order to complete the activities, you must have an up-to-date web-browser like Chrome.
Workshop prerequisites:
download and install a working copy of FileZilla.
you must also have set up a UQ username and password, and have communicated with Stefano Montanari about setting up a CVL account.

using StrudelWeb
logging in to CVL
transferring data using CloudStor+ and FileZilla
